I would be lying if I would say that it was easy to talk to a student who parent has malignant Mesothelioma.

the questions that go into the students head are amazing. At times things will just pop out. What is really hard is that I work with kids who have usually lost at least one parent. Many of the others do not even know one parent, these are even harder. About 10% have lost both parents.

I would not want to be these kids.

Moving

One of the problems that we have in teaching is that sometimes teachers have to do cross country moving. I have moved across the country (more than a 1000 miles a couple of times.

And of course moving is pain, organization is the key to a good move. Also being very ready before the movers get there. Well if you ever have move across state lines I hope that you have a great day.

Swings at the park

I was watching kids at the park today. The kids were on the swing sets and the dad was throwing them a football for them to catch.

I have to confess, that this was not the most safe thing to do.
However, it was refreshing to watch kids playing and not worrying about all the saftey concerns that normally happen. Of course the mom was not there, not sure if that would have made a change.

Controlling

The greatest of Wii accessories just became free. The internet channel on the wii is now free. It is of course based on oprea browser, which I like anyway.

I am just wondering . . . how do type? Bummer and on screen keyboard which is really slow for typing. So I am wondering will there be a keyboard for the Wii.

Motivation

I have been thinking of getting an xbox 360 to help me study. Now please follow. If I study for 45 minutes really well, I can reward myself with 15 minutes of relaxation.

Then go back and study for another 45 minutes and then go back.

Now this does have some problems . . . like I may start cutting deals with myself. Which is never good.
