Little Things

One of the things about teaching in alternative school is that many of these kids are alone. What amazes me is how many have had parents who have died. The gaps they have in their learning. One example is that there is no clue about needing little things, like car insurance. I mean every state requires the insurance. However, these kids are clueless. Many have little clue how to live in the real world.

Classroom.

One of the tough things to do is find preschool furniture for the classroom. Classroom is tough to find the right stuff. After all the reasons for some furniture may work at one time and not another.

At one time I had a kitchen table. Which worked great for one class, yet for another class it was not possiable and just took up room.

Practice the Praxis

Teachers are looking for all kinds of things to buy diet pills. After all I just had a good friend finally pass the Praxis. She worked long and hard on test prep. OF course, there was the day or so before the test. She tried to study, but ended up talking with every person she could find.

I tried to keep her moving on her test and pestered her. What can I say, it is so easy to get distracted with other things other then the test.

Not Passing

I just had a good friend who took the ele. ed. Praxis test. She/He did not do so well. When the results were back she missed by four points. Now that is tough. She was ready to break some glass tile in her anger.

The bad part was that she was at work and could not scream and break things.
