Well life for Apple and ATT is getting quite intresting. ATT is going to allow people to purchase of iPhones without a contract. Of course the buyer already has to have a contract and an iPhone. So the 599 price tag may be a little step for a sort of unlocked phone.

You will still need to jail break the phone to use it. So there are problems.
