Pay Lane

I like to relax. Of course I spend an inordiante amount of time reading and studying. I still have to sign up for a MA program somewhere. Of course teaching makes me think sometimes I need a wine of the month club just to keep things on an even keel.

Think of the demands of teachers. You are expected to get an MA. Sure you get paid a little for it. Just not much. And really not enough to make it worthwhile. There are exceptions. I know that it was St Paul, MN school district that made it worth it.

Light Study.

I was out studying late last night when my rechargeable flashlight croaked. Oh well, so I was not able to finish working. So I went off to bed and recharged my flashlight. Such an odd day. It just means that I will do other things at other times and some new blue jeans.

As long it stays warm outside I can go back outside and study there.

Looking Down

I do wish that I could have something like a pocket watch while taking the test.

You know as well as I do that watches are at best frowned upon. I do like to know the time while taking the test. And hearing that you have 15 minutes left does not cut it. I mean really. It is hard to gage time.

Where to take test

I was looking at traveling the weekend of the next Praxis. So I was going to set up a hotel and take the test at Branson Missouri however, the problem that I see is what if there is bad snow and I cannot get there. I am also stuck and required to make the trip.

I would not want have to make the trip because of the test in case something happened. So I may cancel my trip.

Sat AM

Doing the Praxis exam is like having a colon cleanser ready for you on a Saturday morning. Nothing like waking up and having to test like crazy.

Somehow or another the stress will go up through the roof. Many people seem like we have to have grape Kool-Aid on the Saturday it is given.

A Positive Feedback Loop

The Praxis stud group, for several of us who are taking it in March or so meet at a billet grille to study. MMMMM yummy time to eat and study.

Since I am the non drinker of the group, I notice how bad some start doing while they are drinking.

Kinda of a situation. of course drinking games work on that positive feedback loop. The better you do the worse the other person does. I am not sure this works good with studying.
