MS Math 069

While studying for the Middle School Math test . . . I realized that I have the to do an essay. Grrrr. I would rather have dental work done with some Ingersoll Rand air tools sans novicane.

I will confess, I am never sure why . . . I do not do well on the essay. I am not sure why I have never done well on the essay portions but I do not. The only exception was the Praxis I writing and that one saved my butt.

Since the time for Praxis is over you may want to consider a royal caribbean cruise. I know that I would. After all, assuming that you have the money and the time, you should treat yourself to such a great trop and have a good time.

For the Test Giver

Studyng for the praxis is an odd thing. You spend hours and hours working in sheepskin boots and a other comfy clothes for two hours of shear terror. Sorry that is a bad pun.

I have never been a fav of high stakes tests. Yet that is what we think is needed. Tests for the future test givers. Just kinda off.

Here is post 101.

Seems like I need to have a real basic post for the 101 post. However, what if I had a gold bangle posting. I am not to sure what to write. So today I feel like I am rambeling. I do lots of that I know. However, I am studying for the Jr High Math Praxis test.

These are quite a bit different from the HS content tests. But more on that later.

A litle bit of this

Here is my 100th post. Yeah.

We are having accreditation people come through here this week. I had to make sure that everything is in correct order. The TV needed a tv mount. All the staples and tape have to be off. Everything needs to be perfect.

I have to confess that it causes a grrr in me. Seems like much ado about nothing.

A Kiss

I know this has little to do with Praxis tests. However, I recently saw Pirates of the Carribian. This was actually a good movie.

My favorite part was the wedding scene at the end of the movie. Without any diamond rings or other items the two get married.

I am of the opnion that the kiss that followed was one of the best kisses in movie history.

I am hoping that the future will have this as such.

Distance

I was talking with a friend who went through the same online program I went through. And she was in Caifornia. To take the Praxis, she had to get a
hotels in Las Vegas and some kenneling for her dog.

I looked at distances here in SD. I may be in the same situation. There is one nearby school that gives the praxis, once a year. So for the Jan test date, I may have to go over 2 hours of driving.

THat is a real grrrr. Something I do not like.

Start Thinking

As teachers we are always looking for new ways to communicate with students. Car Angel is trying to reach students with the distribution of over 2.4 million movies. They raise money via car donations and also through boat donations through http://youtube.com/user/boatangel.

Finding First

I have never like costume jewelry as it seems to gaudy.

So the question is always, why. Why would you wear such horrid looking stuff? I am not to sure, just wondering. Life is just finny and short. Why, is that.

Having some to wonder about odd things always makes my head hurt. So please do me a favor and do not make my head hurt.

Finding Hope

Recently, I met a woman who was into wholesale fashion jewelry and was from New York.

Many people are quite interested when I tell them I am a second career teacher. Many want to follow in behind me. The question is always about the tests. The Praxis seems to be an odd thing. Think about it.

One quick and long and hard test. Bang you are qualified. Really odd. Nothing on actually competency.
