Starting by moving

One of the first problems that we ran into teaching at this school, we had all the students in a single room by class. This means that the teachers had to move by a utility cart to each of the rooms.

The real advantage is that the teachers were able to share ideas and best practices with each other. I have to confess it was great having all the teachers together.

Standards

It would nice if we could study as easy as putting on a diet patch or having a dictionary under your bed would be quite easy.

The Praxis like many standardized tests take a lot of work and time. Make sure you know the materials you are testing on. I know that I spent hours upon hours studying for the Praxis test.

Review: Ed Toys

I recently received some educational toys and found several of them to be of great value.


The first toy, which is my favorite, is the gears package. This is a great package that allows students to make all kinds of great objects and buildings, and encourages the creativity of the students. I used this first at home and my own kids loved this, even though they are all teens. I brought the package to school and used with my middle schoolers with great results.

The second educational toy is the called a Pretend and Play World Traveler. I had several kids look st this and play with it. For the most part most students liked it, even though it was a little bit young for them.

The final item is actually m favorite.

This is fun game that wil make sense to many kids and help them learn about the human body. I hope these help. These products will do well in any classroom.

Working Hard

I have thought that working toward the praxis is like gaining free Super Bowl tickets for the family. It takes time, hard work and more effort then you would ever think you had.

Perseverance is the watch word. I know I write motivations and harp on the same things. However, it is so true.

Finding your way around

When you are going to a place you do not know and you are in a more northernly area one should really check the area where you are headed towards. Otherwise, you may be dependent on exterior lighting to find your way though on campus.

I have to be honest, this happened to me. In the Jan. testing session, I got lost on a new and unknown campus. Not a fun sight.

Calculators

I know that batteries are never fun to deal with.

However, what about the PRAXIS. We never need to have much in the way of batteries. Unless you are taking a math or science. Personaly, I suggest that you either:

A. Carry a second calculator.
B. Carry a set of replacement batteries.

personally, I recommend making sure that your batteries are fresh and you carry a second. One can never be to safe when it comes to the praixs

Getting ready

To go to the Praxis testing you really need to have a checking accounts. Why is that you ask. To register online for the Praxis you have to a credit card or a serious checking account with a debit card.

I know it is a pain. However, you need to be able to manage your money to pay for that still little test.

History 041

I know that there is very little on the Praxis about Dodge Charger accessories.


I enjoyed the 041 test which is about US and World History. Remember, when you take it that test, everything is on the exam. When I say every thing I mean everything. Everything from the start of time till about the 1980s.

Motivation

It would seem that Praxis Tests have nothing to do with beach weddings. But then again . . . there could be.

If you were to hold off on said till you passed the Praxis. This would give good motivation to to it right the first time. The trick of course is that you have a good motivator for yourself.

Go get it right. The first is the always the best time.

A Rough Area

Working at some schools may require some
self defense products, I was told of some of the real problems in South Florida. My principal told me of teachers who were pushed down the stairs. I would think that after hours, a teacher in that area would want something.

I looked at the referenced website and there several items that could be useful for people in rough areas. I personally like the personal taser kits. I am not sure they are as legal as people think. Of course check with your local laws.

Verbage

I know that makeup mirrors mirrors have no place in Praxis testing. So it is a good thing I have never seen one there.

I have yet to find a really good Praxis guide. Most of them repeat lots of tripe. Rather then have lots of practice most have lots of verbage telling you what is on the test.

We need practice not lots of pages to thicken a book up.

Sitting

I know that most of cannot afford to stockpile a Vacheron Constantin watch we can pay well on Praxis.

ETS requires a $45 sitting fee for Praxis per day. This day fee is not refundable. You need to follow the paces for getting the minimal fee you have to pay.

I would suggest that you take as many on one day as you can.

Out of Field

I know that many who take the praxis are in serious need of headache treatment items. You will spend hours upon hours studying.

If you live somewhere like SD or TN and you are taking an out of field test then the hours will be even more hours. As these states will allow you to be certified in an out of field subject.

Erasure

I know that we try to take promotional pens to the test. However, you need to take several already and new sharped pencils. I suggest that you buy brand new pencils and have a brand new eraser.

This was the problem several people run into.

I have noticed on several standardized tests that erasing is an issue.
