Praxis Secrects Study Guide or . . .

OK, I have been delaying this review.

From a number of websites, this guy went out and bought everything he could on on praxis sites: http://www.mo-media.com/praxisii/praxisii.htm or http://www.praxisiisecrets.com

This person (I doubt it is a group) had made a guide to help you do the Praxis II and has it for several tests.

On the surface this looks good. I grabbed the one for 041 History and the 081 Social Studies: Content Knowledge (this one by accident).

First off, they are almost identical. The only difference is the data which is from ETS. They carefully plagiarize the data from ETS that is on the bulletin for your test for free.

What they ad as "new" is not pretty. This person or group takes the most obvious test taking strategies and places them all in one place. By this point in your academic career you should be well aware of good strategies on how to take the test. If you are not . . . it may be time to rethink where you are going.

I will confess the group gives one good piece of advice on how to choose an answer that you have no clue on. The advice is totally randomize the answer after eliminating the wrong answers.

I have to admit the advertising is good and convincing. However, the information you receive can be easily had from any reliable source on overcoming test anxiety.

Overall this resource gets two thumbs down.

Update: Someone mentioned to me that they purchased the 014 for elementary. She said that this guide was worth the money. So please note I mentioned I only examined the 081 Social Studies and the 041 World and US History
