Blogging With Ike

"Men give me some credit for genius. All the genius I have lies in this: When I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly. Day and night it is before me. I explore it in all its bearings. My mind becomes pervaded with it. Then the effort which I make, the people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought." - Alexander Hamilton

Cuba . . . today

While you were sleeping . . . the world changed just a little while we were sleeping. Cuba changed.

However, the change was not as much as you would think.

Communism is still alive and well. Castro has undergone some weight loss. The same person (Castro's Brother) who has been running the government has officials taken over.

The Cuban community in Florida seems to not be happy. Of course the presidential candidate are thinking democracy in Cuba. Well that is really obvious.

The oddest part is we always say we are glad to have smooth transition of power, yet, when it happens to Cuba we are not happy.

Why not?

Back to the Moon

While the US may be leading in healthcare management software, however, the problem of outer space may be more of a problem.

There is a good chance that China will beat the United States back to the moon. While the POTUS Bush has promised to get the US back to the moon, the people of the United States seem not to care. Though I have to confess that the idea of going to the moon makes me rather indeffernt.

The people of the United States will care when China beats us there again. Then people will be all up in arms.

The Legacy or worse

After watching the State of the Disunion, I think some House Painters are going to be needed to make some of good 'ole Bush's items to go through.

Looks like he is painting in green for wanting to reduce gas usage by 20%.

Looks like some more red paint for Iraq.

He will need some white paint to cover the red paint.

Black paint for education. He wants to renew NCLB while not funding it.

OF course what happens when you mix all these paints together. We get an ugly gray.

Just what the country needs two more years of silliness between two do-nothing parties. We all know he is now working for history. Will history finally vindicate Bush . . . I think not. I wonder how history will see the last twenty years of the presidency. The say many and do dumb things maybe.

The Tyranny of American Politicians.

Thank you Dictator of the Proletariat Herr Bush, Comrades of the Senate, and the esteemed Comrades in the HOR (Pronounced WHORE).

It looks like I may be terrorist. And all I want is sudafed for a headache and sinus problems. Under the 2005 Patriot Act, the comrades made it a requirement to have my photo ID taken and written down every time I have a sinus headache.

So I think things will get better? I do not think so. If the Democrats really wanted to do anything they will repeal this law. Then I may think they are different.

Real Life and Star Trek Ethics

We live in a world of Star Trek ethics.

Think of what we learned from star trek:

1. Do not interfere with other cultures. Okay so Bush cannot figure this one out.
2. Science is the religion.
3. Humans can do anything.
4. True Communism can only work in outer space.
5. Never harm another life form

Well, it looks like we cooked microbes on Mars. We love movies like War of the Worlds (first one not the remake). Think of it . . . we might of done it ourselves.

I am not to sure if I should laugh or cry at this.
