Obama Kool-Aid
Mr. McGovern came up with several intresting points.
First of all, according to Mr. McGovern being elite is a good thing. I agree with that idea.
According to the dictonary the meaning of elite is:
noun
1 a group of people considered to be the best in a particular society or category, esp. because of their power, talent, or wealth : China's educated elite | [as adj. ] an elite combat force.
2 a size of letter in typewriting, with 12 characters to the inch (about 4.7 to the centimeter).
ORIGIN late 18th cent.: from French élite ‘selection, choice,’ from élire ‘to elect,’ from a variant of Latin eligere (see elect ). Sense 2 dates from the early 20th cent.
I agree with the idea that being elite is a good thing. After all we want to go to an elite school. We want to work at elite forms. However, the one problem is that being an elitist is mostly a negative term. Being and elitist is bad. After all we are a nation of people who want to be equal.
Obama is an elitist meaning, that he thinks he is better then other people. It is obvious that is the point. People for the most part are not bitter. We do not cling to guns and religion. He sits there and lectures people with his flashing IWC.
The second issue in the discussion was idea of meeting with forign leaders. I agree it is a good thing to meet with forieghn leaders. However, coming unconditionally from a position of weakness is not the way to come to the table. The United States will be seen as a weaker nation.
It is obvious that the people invovled do not understand. This uncludes Mr. McGovern.
The last item that I was thought was funny . . .we have never been hated as much in the world as we are now! He mentioned that going to Europe is hard for an American. Let me see if I understand this correctly.
During World War II we were loved by the Germans and the French Nazi collaborators. I seem to be missing something.
The funny part is that I was not given any reason to vote for Obama.
All I hear is that he wants change. Of course what kind of change?
Have a happy day.
