Blogging With Ike

"Men give me some credit for genius. All the genius I have lies in this: When I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly. Day and night it is before me. I explore it in all its bearings. My mind becomes pervaded with it. Then the effort which I make, the people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought." - Alexander Hamilton

Can't Do It

Where does someone go who is a solid conservative? I mean I am more likely to vote for modern furniture chair, then to vote for John McCain.

McCain is not a bastion of conservative thought or politics. He is not for liberty.

McCain has voted time and time again with the most liberal parts of our governments.

Campaign reform that limits free speech.
Against Gitmo
Let anyone into the country
NCLB
Way bigtime for the war in Iraq
A complete Washington insider
against tax cuts

I am amazed at how bad his record is?

So I ask the question, who can I vote for come November, assuming McCain is the Republican nominee.

I will not vote for John McCain even if Hillary is the nominee. I will never ever vote for McCain.

As I have time and time again . . . time for a third part.

Huck-a-what

I am not sure how or why the news media can switch from plus size lingerie to annointing MaCain as the front runner for the Republicans.

This is going to cause some real probolems for Mitt Romney. When Rudy G gets out of the race this week that will free up many voters for McCain.

I suspect that Huck-a-bee will stay in the race on principle and take away votes from Romney. This means that Huck-duh-bee . . .

will play the spoiler and will let the more liberal wing of the party win with McCain.

In any case we are in for a rocky ride.

Rambo - thoughts and reviews

I just finished watching the new movie Rambo. This movie actually made me think. IT is not for the swing sets crowd, so please no kids. Some blithering idiots have really panned the movie.

Let me say that this is the best of the Rambo movies. Not that Rambo III would need much help. He is still speaking in mono syllables and stares a lot into the camera. However, there is actual character development. Sure it takes 20 minutes for the first kill.

Well what did I think . . .

First, there seems to be the question of how would we, the 'normal' person view killing. The Christian missionaries did a good showing the typical reactions that I and others would have.

Second, Stallone did a great job showing the genocide that is happening in Myanmar, formally called Burma and called Burma in the movie, with the genocide of the Christian Karen tribal people (and here). These people for the most part are Christians (about 40%). The Karen Human Rights Group is working to make people aware of the problems. Of course I am wondering if this plight receives less attention because the Karen people are about 40% Christian. We can help the Muslim kids in Darfur but not Christians. How typical of America's intellectual elite. BTW: here are some pictures these are not for the squimish.

Third, the story comes to an end. John comes home to his father's home. The theme of redemption is throughout the movie. Rambo tries to redeem and come to terms with the hate and anger that is in. He finally finds his way to his father's house and comes home.

Fourth, the question of faith. How strong is your faith. This movie just has religious themes all over it. Kinda weird for a hack-em-up-kill-them-all-let-god-sort-em-all-out kinda movie

Demorats sell out again

American has long been under assault by special interests and corporations. This includes both parties (Dems and Reps). I am not sure why Republicans always get the whack on the nose for supporting business, when Democrats do even more.

As an example: the head of the RIAA is providing entertainment for the democrat convention this year. This is the same person who is trying to get the College Opportunity and Affordability Act of 2007 to strangle universities.

This will place univerties at cost of making sure nothing illegal ever happens. If it happens . . . well the democrats support big business. It is politics as usual. The RIAA needs to buy some used cisco equipment and do it themselves. As filesharing is NOT a felony and is a civil litigation.

Time to vote for 3rd party . . . or better yet Ron Paul

If President

We are often asked what we want in a president. I was recently asked what would I do?

Well the first thing is to get the government off the treadmill they are running on.

1. Veto EVERYTHING that does not repeal other laws.
2. Immediate phased withdrawal from Iraq.
3. Eliminate NCLB
4. Withdraw all military from around the world within in 1 year.
5. Get rid of DMCA, Patriot Act and a few more
6. Return copyright to sanity.
7. Veto Everything and I mean EVERYTHING
8. Eliminate most drug laws and return them to the state.
9. that kid in GA who got a serious raw deal, pardon him.
10. Pardon Bush and the rest of the current bums. I know this would not be popular, however it will allow us to move on.
11. Eliminate Income Taxes
12. Eliminate Social Security in a phased manner
13. Eliminate every single unconstitutional federal program.
14. Have every little department and every little group that is receiving federal money, justify their existence.
15. Eliminate real ID

Tyranny of Free Travel

While the government may be up on Tuition Wise students. They are really up on Agism.

Our government wants to make it illegal for those who are under 50 to enter into government buildings or get on an airplane without the proper papers. This alone restricts travel freedoms enjoyed by Americans for 100s of years.

Am I missing something. I thought that there was not to be discrimination based upon age.

Here are your senators, congressmen, and president now enforcing agism. This is not a democratic or republicans issue. This is a constitutional issue.

I am short of the date by 11 days. Just 11 days. Eleven days to young make me young enough by this tyrannical government that people should not be discriminated by age, sex, race or more.

To my government official please stop all this discriminating.

Can we still have a good Government

Well the political year is off like some Dodge Charger accessory hyped on a top of the line car.

I still come back to Ron Paul. While it appears he has no chance of winning, his best bet would be to become VP. If he becomes VP that at least gives a chance in the future.

I am a big fan of a small constutuinal form of goverenment.

Unlike our super-sized bloated goverenment. Ron Paul would want to cut spending and cut taxes and return to the Republic.

As the writers said: "when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government"

Governement should fear the people, not the other way around.

Donations

As ususal the new year brings new and fresh hope. One of the things I always find odd is the amount of donations from certain groups.

As an example: Car Angel (www.carangel.com) is a non-profit company that uses car and other donations to make videos for kids and teens. They have given away over 2.4 million videos.

These people accept want you to donate car to help the future. You can see them on youTube at http://www.youtube.com/boatangel

Well have a happy day.

Face Crime

There is a new problem with people the government. It is not the real estate flipping that they want to regulate. It is face crimes.

The TAA is going through and talking with people looking for micro expressions. If a person becomes suspicious, which 70,000 or more have, they go to a talking to.

Out of the 70,000 held for extra questioning only 700 were charged with something. This includes outstanding warrants, weapons (this is odd), and other small things. Of course the question I have is . . . how many terrorists were stopped.

Uhm. None.

We have forfeited our rights for this 'security,' our vast freedoms and liberty. It is time to take back our government from the politicians. I would suggest that we elect Ron Paul.
