"Men give me some credit for genius. All the genius I have lies in this: When I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly. Day and night it is before me. I explore it in all its bearings. My mind becomes pervaded with it. Then the effort which I make, the people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought." - Alexander Hamilton

Opportunity Costs

There is an economic term called, Opportunity Costs. Many people are able to many many things. However, I was given a business opportunity that I could do. However, do to this, I will need to stop what I am doing.

Personally, I love what I do more then anything other type of work. Even working at a Christian school was not as rewarding as I am now working. My costs are that I want to do what I am doing and not do something else, even if more money is involved.

Have a happy day

Regulating Religion

But away that Da Vinci baby furniture you are not allowed to reincarnate!

The new policy of China is to not allow reincarnation. I am not sure what I am supposed to say. How does China expect to stop religion. For the Christians in my audience, this is on par with forbidding the resurrection of the living and the dead at the time of the Return of Jesus.

The sadness of the situation is amazing. MSNBC points out that there could be two Dali Lamas (which is a religious title such as Pope) in Tibet. One official of the government and one picked by the monks.

Needless to say this reminds me of many of the problems the Catholic church had in the middle ages.

The Dream

Today the dream is alive. The problem I see with the dream is that people are reminded that the color of the skin. Not only by the government, not only by the Hollywood elites, not only by the press, and it is reminded with those who are allegedly for civil rights and equality between the races.

I am scared that many of those so called leaders want racism. I know that is a tough saying, but it seems that many of those people (civil rights leaders) want the racism for a job.

The speech came not from the Sahara hotel but from the feet of Abe Lincoln.

Included is the You Tube video. Please watch.

Another One Bites the Dust

Well it seems that the Democrats are starting to line up heads as trophies on the wall.

It seems like so many people are resigning from the Administration that the Democrats will have a field day. This is typical for this point in the presidency. You may recall that Clinton and Reagan had similar types of resignations in the last two years of being in office.

So what does it mean? People are getting out and cashing in with lobbyists, just as the Clinton White House did. The real question is . . . do we really trust our officials? I submit not.

Actually this really shows a problem with the two party system and shows that we really need a major revamping of politics in America.

Housing Market

I have been following the home mortgage trends in the past few months. Let me say this . . . I am concerned. The concern is on many levels. This is an event that can hurt the American economy for the long term.

We have been warned for years of the coming market collapse. I am sorry when a home in St. Paul, MN costs $400K it is way too much. The baby boomers have again become rich on the backs of their kids. The boomers will keep getting richer and richer off the backs of their own kids. Many of us cannot afford houses. Now we come to the point of where many who bought cannot afford to keep them.

If you are selling, work with your bank they do not want the house back, work with Miami flat fee mls type of service, or do without other items. I know the costs are going up, but now is the time for the fight.

Shutting Down

The national terrorist database is shutting down. The government has decided that it is not needed and willl shut down on Sept 17.

So while the database needs a pulse oximeter to keep going, they let it keep going rather then just shutting down.

Why is this. If the database is not valid, why is it still running. Just shut the thing down now.

Have a good day.

Wack your child?

I was in the world of wallies yesterday.

Something caught my eye. Some golf balls that can be made with your kids (or other such person's) picture on it.

Now for the real question . . . why would you want a picture of your child on a golf ball. Or why would you want any person who you care about on a golf ball to wack.

I know some people who would want some ex-spouses on them. But outside of that.

Have a good day.

thoughts on news

I was watching the article on NBC news on Hurricane Dean.

many little odd things happened.
There seems to be a move to make the rest of the world like the US. Well this is ok. But odd. The same basic story could have been told in Floridia.

The lights were out and there were problems. And these people will rebuild.

I also find it odd that Dean captured the top story on Tuesday with 13 dead. Wereas the US flood story has 20 dead. The area affected by the US is greater.

And on Tuesday night was the first time I heard credit being given to camera men who have to stand out in the ran with the idiot reporters.

Miners and Work

I am glad I am not a miner. Today it was added to my list of jobs I would not want to do.

So what can I say? Thank you to all the miners that do the job I would rather not do. You guys work is a really nasty place with great peril to life and limb. Thank you for all the work you do for providing raw materials to the world.

So here I am in my Air Jordans glad I am not a miner and thankful for those who are.

Have a great day.

Review: Air Jordan

I was asked to review some Air Jordan shoes that I received. I was able to pick out the type of shoe. For me this is a basic black shoe. I also picked out the size a solid 12.

Size was an issue. For certain types of shoes I am 13. However, these are few and far between. The odd news: I needed an 11.5 (11 1/2 USA) size shoe. Since I had to big of shoe for my foot, the walking was little odd and hurt my little toe.

However, the heels were really nice and I was able to stand and deliver wearing the Air Jordan shoes. I am almost sad I do not play hoops, I think the advantage of these shoes is in the air shocks.

Overall they are good shoes. If you buy prepare to go down 1/2 size.

Grand Grad

As many of you know. I recently graduated from WGU. This time around, I have decided not to send any graduation announcements to friends and family.

Why not. Mostly becasue it sounds like I am begging for gifts. Ok, cash would be nice. But I do not like to beg. And I do not like to write thank you notes.

Now if I could send a thank you note on an animated online site.

A Sleeping Congress

After seeing some of the homes of the Senators on TV recently. I have come to the conclusion that the government (the people) of the United States should provide living quarters for all congress people.

We provide a nice open bay with bunk beds for each state. This means that some state congressmen will get their own bed.

Have a good night.

Selling my House

I am working on selling some real estate in Mountain Lake, MN. If you would like to purchase a really nice house in Mountain Lake, MN.

This could be a weekend house if you live in the Twin Cities or even Mankato. There is fishing and golfing within waking distance. Plenty of room to have a huge garden to grow your own veggies.

If you are interested please leave me a note.

Have a good day.
