Blogging With Ike

"Men give me some credit for genius. All the genius I have lies in this: When I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly. Day and night it is before me. I explore it in all its bearings. My mind becomes pervaded with it. Then the effort which I make, the people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought." - Alexander Hamilton

Cindy Sheehan: Nobody cares about you anymore

I do not mean to be harsh, okay maybe not that harsh... okay maybe a little harsh, but Cindy Sheehan can you just put a sock in it and be quiet.

I really feel sorry for your loss. I feel even worse for your son who served with valor as you drag his name and memory though the dirt and the mud.

So today during the President's State of the Union address you try to protest in the gallery. Please give it a rest. I am sure on the Today Show or some other such outlet you will be up there sobbing that your free speech rights were snubbed. But you broke the law.

I will give you points for protesting without cameras present... but the press was still there covering your blathering.

You do not rest and over at the White House you say, "You're evicted! Get out of our house!" I am just wondering who is he evicted by? Not the people of the United States of America.

Cindy, do us all a favor, get over it and... go home and... shut up and... get a job. Please.

110 and Counting

Judge Alito is now a Justice and crybaby Kerry has proven himself to be a divider of the people.

Alito is in by a few votes. This is not really news but noteworthy. has some fun trivia on confirmation

More noteworthy is John Kerry who has shown himself out of touch and wanting to do a filibuster on Alito. Grow up Kerry, you lost the election.

Moral Authority?

Hey all,

I was just reading about some pervert who was BUSTED for child porn. And this is a good thing. One one site I was reading reactions to this situation. Here are some of the comments:

all those police with guns...
its such a damm shame the guy doesnt get shot trying to "escape"

and
To think if you are caught with pirated movies you may one day get up to 3 years. This disgusting perv only gets 1.

and
People like this should be sentanced to death IMO. Being a Paedopile is a Sexuallity, just like you may be hetro or homosexual. These people cannot be changed from there sexuality or rehabilitated, therefore they serve no perpose being on the planet. The world would be a better place without these sick f*!ks, slaughter the lot of em'. My view is extreme on this I know.

and
well you get the idea.

My point in all this: what moral authority do we have any more to even suggest that this person should be prosecuted or even jailed. I know I am placing some American values on New Zealanders, but still.

Many of these people would argue that gay sex, lesbian sex, bondage or whatever the perversion of the moment is ok.

Well I do not see any moral authority. This guy did not personally rape or molest kids! He did not harm any child! You cannot say well he is asking for it to be made, that is a logical fallacy. It was his CHOICE to participate in this acts and enjoy these pictures. Maybe, it is in his genes.

The point is there is no moral authority to say this is bad. Why? Because they are not being... dare I say... use... that word... you mean the T word... YES! They are no being TOLERANT of his sexuality. They are placing on their strict and rigid views of this person.

Who as Dr. William Provine would say, this poor man is just a biochemical reaction and should not be punished because he has no free will.

I hope you see the simplistic and sophomoric Michael Moore logic of tolerance is certainly not very tolerant. When there is wrong, like this NZ pervert, we should call it a moral outrage. I at least have a Moral Authority, He gave 613 rules to live by. I can say there is a moral wrong.

I suggest that somehow a Promethes type of punishment would be good.

NOTE --- I do not know the position on other issue of those quoted. I just pulled these as composite samples.

Abortion Revistied

January 23, 1973, is a day that will be forever knitted in the fabric of our society. On that day abortion was made legal in the United States. There has been many protest and demonstrations made since that cold winter day. We now find ourselves in 2006 looking back over the past 33 years. We hear from the pro-life side the old and tired statistic stating the “40 million abortions since 1973” argument. This number is false, period. Extrapolating numbers from the Alan Guttmacher Institute, a pro-choice think tank, we are currently at about 48 Million fetuses killed since 1973. By this time next year there will be close to 50 million fetuses aborted with approximately 96% being for reasons of conveyance, according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Within the abortion debate this question must be answered. Is there a significant enough difference between a fetus and a baby that would warrant calling the baby a human, and the fetus a non-human? Would anyone, other the Pete Singer, ethics chair at Princeton University, seriously suggest that a baby is not a person? Scott Klusendorf suggests there are only four differences between between a fetus and newborn baby. If any of these four differences fail, the fetus may not be human and may be terminated at will. I would go so far as to say if the fetus is not human, the government should gladly pay for abortions at the will of the mother till birth. So let us take a moment and carefully examine these four differences between a fetus and you.

First, there is a difference in size. There is no argument that a fetus is smaller then say a two year old toddler or even yourself. Would anyone presuppose that Kevin Garnett, the 6’ 11” forward for the Minnestoa Timberwolves, is more of a person then Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) democrat party leader, based strictly on the size of the person? Should we automatically kill anyone, male or female, who is not, say taller then 5’ 4” as an adult? Of course not.

Second there is a difference in the level of development. There is no question that a fetus is less developed than you. Would anyone be so bold to suggest that a four year old girl is less of person than a 30 year old woman, because the four year old girl is less developed since her reproductive system is not fully functional? Would anyone be even bolder and suggest that someone who has not reached their mid 40’s could be aborted because he/she has not yet reached full mental development? Of course not.

Third, there is a difference in the environment, in which the fetus and you abide. Obviously there is a difference between the womb and the world outside of the womb. A simple change of environment does not make a person less of a person. When you walked out to the mailbox or to the store to acquire this newspaper you had a change of environment from the warmth of the inside of your house to the cold outside of a beautiful frosty winter day. Are you less of a person or more of a person in or out of the house? Is there a fundamental change in who you are if you sojourn to Mankato? Of course not.

Lastly, there is a difference in the amount of dependency that the fetus and you require. Naturally a fetus is dependent upon the mother, for its survival. The argument is, that if the fetus cannot survive on its own, without intervention, then it is not a human and may be terminated at will. There are many who are reading this article who are, or know someone who is, dependent upon a medication to sustain their life. Perhaps you or a loved one require dialysis without which you would die within a few short days. Is a person who must have their medication or dialysis any less of a person then one who does not require these or any other life sustaining medical procedures? Of course not.

Of course a fetus is a human life. The law of biogenesis states that there is nothing that magically turns something that is not a human into something that is all of sudden a human. The only differences between the unborn human life and the new baby is a small and simple S.L.E.D.:
• Size,
• Level of development,
• Environment and
• Dependancy.

Since the S.L.E.D. clearly demonstrates that there are only four small and negligible differences between a fetus and an adult, we must absolutely consider a fetus a person and choose life and end the senseless slaughter of 50 million human beings, and the decimation of yet another generation with 1 in every 5 being killed, for connivence. Choose life.

Televison on the Internet

Well first it was Apple iTunes publishing Lost, Desperate Housewives, Battlestar and others. Now iTunes has Law and Order, Adam 12 and much more. There are more promises of more and newer TV shows.

The comes CES this week, now FOX, Google and Yahoo are jumping on the bandwagon.

For those who love TV this should be a good thing esp. with the $1.00 shows coming from FOX. I hope 24 is on the list. If course most of these will not work on the Macintosh.

Those who have not seen Battlestar Galactica you really need to see the show. BSG is perhaps the best Television show out there. The scripts are great and characters are great. There is one more coming out this season on Jan 13.

Razing New Orleans In The Wake Katrina

I just had a friend return from the hurricane area and he commented on all the rubbish and trash and houses. He saw so much garbage still everywhere you looked. He commented on moving away all the stuff by wheelbarrow.

A wheelbarrow? Why is this I quipped? Because that is what is needed. I thought, why not just torch the place?

Well, well, I find out the reason . . . oi! They cannot even tear down because political activists have sued to stop the tearing down. Why?

. . . Well because they are trying to run black people out of New Orleans.

. . . Because people have abandoned their homes and not retrieved their items.

So now, people are upset because of this... but guess what! They will start complaining about all the same houses having diseases and other problems.

Cannot win, can only lose.

The best comment from my friend was that he said that it was odd seeing a Rolls Royce next to a trailer.

Digital Media Rights and the End Times?

Update:
Well, I see SONY-BMG is about as evil as it gets. At least that is what I thought. So then comes Coldplay. Coldplay has released a CD that I could not play at my house, or car, or computer, or anything I currently own. Good thing I am not Coldplay fan. These people are evil.

One legal alternative is http://www.mp3search.ru/
They have alot of items on mp3search esp if you like newer items. Which I do not.

Original:
I have been pondering digital media rights and the end times. Most Christians fall in line with big business right away and repeat the RIAA/MPAA mantras. I would be very careful where you go with that one, readers. Watch for more and more security added and more and more rights limited.
MS in the new version of windows will determine if you can see something on your screen. Not watching commercials in Japan seems to be illegal (watch out America).
Friends, Big Brother is watching you. I do wonder if this is a sign for the end of times. What better way for the beast to conquer a world other then through control of media. So we may have to change... The BEAST is watching you.

Festival of Lights

Festival of Lights
1 Jan 2006

I know everyone is doing Happy New Years greetings. I would like to wish everyone a Happy Hanukah. Some of you may be wondering, “Oi Vey! What is he talking about now!” I am of the opinion we should do as Jesus did:
“Then came the Feast of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was in the temple area walking in Solomon’s Colonnade.” (John 10:22-23)
Hanukah is a time of true miracles, when many thousands of years ago a young man named Judah rose up to overthrow the Greeks and preserve the study of Torah, rededicate and clean the Temple, and way of life. King Messiah followed the tradition of celebrating the great time of a remembrance of the great event. There are many great songs that have been sung for hundreds of years, my favorite is Maoz Tzur (Rock of Ages). I think I have new favorite that I would like to share the lyrics with you. It is by Marty Goetz.

CHANUKAH

Make my life Your temple
L-rd at this season start
To pull down every idol I have raised up in my heart

(Chorus)
On this Chanukah
On this Feast of Dedication
I dedicate myself to You

Take my defiled altar
Come and cleanse and come repair
So every time I falter I can run to meet you there

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
And with every candle on the menorah
That illuminates the night
Comes a prayer You'd kindle
In me, Yeshua
A desire for Your fire, for Your light

Make of my mortal body
A house worthy of Your name
Rid me of what's ungodly and every hidden thing of shame

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
And with every candle on the menorah
That illuminates the night
Comes a prayer You'd kindle
In me, Messiah
A desire for Your fire, for Your light

Take my supply of oil
Not enough to burn long I fear
But, oh, how I pray I may one day say,
"A great miracle happened here!"

For tho those of you who have no clue about Hanukah well I hope you have a clue of the beauty and the simplicity of the festival.

Blessed are You, O L-rd our G-d, King of the Universe who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to kindle the lights of Hanukah!

Blessed are You, O L-rd our G-d, King of the Universe who performed miracles for our forefathers in those days at this time.
May we all say, Amen.
