Religious Discrimination: State of Ohio validates one religion over anotiher
There is a group of Messianic Jewish Believers in prison. For what they are there does not matter. The issue is that basic rights are being violated. They would like a Kosher meal served instead of trief.
Now they are in prison and one could make the argument that they are getting what they deserve. And to a point I agree.
However, (saw that one coming, eh) this is an issue of discrimination. If one group receives kosher meals as part of religious observance another group deserves the same consideration.
If the STATE refuses to give the same basic consideration to on religious group over another then the STATE is promoting one religion over another. The state of Ohio has determintd the belifs of these Messianic Jewish belivers are invalid. Since Kosher meals are already being served then it does not take much to serve it to others.
The State of Ohio cannot make religious determination of the validity of religious faith. My only question is: where is the ACLU. Let me guess: trying on new swimsuits.
