Asleep at the Wheel
Needless to say . . . this week has some really odd economic issues.
1. We are not in a recession. Kinda wierd, but we managed to stay out of a recession.
2. Jobs loss is not that bad. I know only 20K does not help when it is you.
3. Oil finished lower this week. And gas was stable
4. Gas Tax: I think removing any tax is a good thing. Make it perm! What is odd is we are told it is only 18 cents. Something seems fishy here. I thought it was higher. How can the govt pay for the gas tax. Easy . . . cut back on govt spending. Very simple and easy. Bad idea: tax the gas companies.
As we racing towards the real pillows fight in Denver, in the Democratic Party we shall see what happens.
