"Men give me some credit for genius. All the genius I have lies in this: When I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly. Day and night it is before me. I explore it in all its bearings. My mind becomes pervaded with it. Then the effort which I make, the people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought." - Alexander Hamilton

Leadership

Bush's and Congress's ideas of immigration reform seem to be begging for some Funeral Insurance from all sides.

I am wondering why they think that Americas would want such an ill concived plan and serious mistake. Neither sidee is happy so why bother.

At least the good news, since this will not pass, they can waste time on the problem and not screw up everyone else along the way.

In any case I doubt that congress will do anything.

One of beauties of a good system like we have in the US is that it can withstand bad leadership . . . I just wonder how long it can since we are now pushing nearly 20 years.
