Illegal Sales.
I do not comment often on something like this. However, I am amazed on the list of illegal items being shipped around.
Havoscope.com has a list, and I wonder of the accuracy of the list, that contains 33 items of illegal materials. What I am shocked about is what is actually on the list.
Drugs.
1. Pot. Okay Cheech and Chong
will be happy with this one.
3. Cocaine. John DeLorean. and Marion Barry should be careful.
4. Opium/Heroin. Well the poppy fields in Afghanistan should be happy.
9. Meth. Hey go take that battery acid from number 33 and all should be happy.
11 Ecstasy. I am shocked this makes it own line.
The next big set of items is the M*AA and R*AA items with a few others. The problem with this group is that the numbers are generally made up and do not reflect reality and are hyper inflated numbers
IP
5. Pirated Web Movies. This is YouTube. The basic thought here is: if the M*AA and R*AA were paid for the content that is on You Tube they would make a fortune. The only problem is they would make nothing because people would not post the movies.
7. Pirated Software. The funny one with this is that companies that get pirated often do very very well. Read MICROSOFT. These companies would not be anywhere near as successful if they really locked down their software hard. Watch what is going to happen to Microsoft Vista. The best example is Apple. The only people Apple gets mad at are those who posted preview products.
16. Pirated Movies. You better buy that copy of Snakes on a Plane
or else. This justifies the nazi like tactics of the M*AA and the forcing of the US Government with your tax dollars to go after people and countries.
20. Pirated Music. See above comments about these jack-booted thugs.
23. Pirated Video Games. I am surprised this is so low.
This next group is important because of what it says.
8. Human Trafficking. This includes slaves and forced sex workers. The reason this number is so low is because it only represents the cost of the initial sale not the value added afterward. This to me is sad and breaks my heart to think that people are forced to live like this.
10. Animals and Wildlife Smuggling. Well we traffic human slaves, should this surprise me.
14. Human Smuggling. People traveling illegally from one country to another.
What I find appalling about this list. The US Government is all up in arms about pirated music and movies. What about the true human costs. According to havoscope the US has 19,000 slaves per year sold in this country.
I hope the government has something better to do then bust grandma with no computer.
