"Men give me some credit for genius. All the genius I have lies in this: When I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly. Day and night it is before me. I explore it in all its bearings. My mind becomes pervaded with it. Then the effort which I make, the people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought." - Alexander Hamilton

Free Appleworks!

Dear Apple,

I have been an AppleWorks user for many years. I was given a demo version Clarisworks 1.0 and I purchased 2.0, and 3.0 and 4.0 and 5.0. Appleworks was much better then Microsoft Word on the early Powerbooks. I liked AppleWorks so much I even bought 6.0 and used it at a on where I had to use a WinTel machine. Even today on my MacBook I am using AppleWorks as my faithful longtime word processor.

Needless to say I have been a fan of Appleworks for many years. Alas, Appleworks has come to the end of the line. Apple now is the time to release Appleworks into the great wide world of open source computing.

OSS would really like to have a crack at this software if for nothing else to make a translator for .

So, LET MY APPLEWORKS GO!

Thank you.
