"Men give me some credit for genius. All the genius I have lies in this: When I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly. Day and night it is before me. I explore it in all its bearings. My mind becomes pervaded with it. Then the effort which I make, the people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought." - Alexander Hamilton

RIAA & Moral Authority?

I have been thinking about the evil RIAA and their campaign against filesharing and p2p networks. Somewhere between the view the RIAA is suggesting and the cognitive dissonance they show on filesharing just amazes me.

For years the RIAA has been getting rich and making piles and piles of money by promoting many differing bands and singers. What do these bands that the RIAA member organizations support, help, promote and market say? Let me see, oh yeah! Something about no rules. There was something about okay to steal. And as I recall something about social anarchy. What about all the trying to piss on your parents and social morals and values.

So why now does the RIAA call foul when people follow the suggestions they promote? Sort of like Metallica whining like little cry babies when people download their music when they encourage shoplifting.

RIAA would you please stop being so hypocritical? please.
